More than 600 FRC team members, mentors and volunteers attended which is without a doubt the best turnout yet.

Edina Robotics FIRST Team 1816-Green Machine, would like to thank all those who came to Minnesota Splash 2009.  More than 600 FRC team members, mentors and volunteers attended the morning of FIRST-related seminars, which is without a doubt the best turnout yet. Teams from Montevideo, Silver Bay, Thief River Falls, Perham, Alexandria and Detroit Lakes all were in attendance, as were FRC teams from Iowa.

The Green Machine would like to thank all those who prepared a presentation; they were all extremely successful. The University of Minnesota’s Anderson Hall was filled to more than capacity, it was difficult to get a seat in almost all of the presentations. For some seminars, it was difficult to find a place to stand! The presentations covered anything and everything one needs to know about FRC robotics, from putting together an effective team organization, to how to best prepare for robot inspection at the competitions, to the intricacies of the robot control system and programming. Presentations also covered Team Spirit, The Chairman’s Award, Animation and Media.

Many of the 2009 Minnesota Splash presentations and seminars are posted on the Minnesota Regional Website.

Thanks again to everyone who could make it and good luck to all for a successful 2010 build season!
